Hi, I'm Sarah (she/they)
Windrift Hall is a stunning Hudson Valley wedding venue. It combines historic elegance with lush gardens and sweeping views. Getting married here gives your wedding day an enchanting atmosphere. C and M’s Windrift Hall wedding was a lush, intimate celebration with an editorial touch.
Windrift Hall is an inn and wedding venue situated in an 18th-century manor house. The 14 acres of land include private waterways, gardens, meadows, and woods. The ivy-covered stone walls and lush greenery are breathtaking.
Where do ceremonies and receptions take place?
Ceremonies at this wedding venue typically take place under a centuries-old maple tree or overlooking the pond. C and M chose the latter spot, and their photos show the amazing balance of natural beauty and cultivated elegance.
You have a few options for where to hold your reception. After cocktail hour on the patio, you can invite your guests to eat and dance under the stars or in the pavilion beside the lake.
How much does it cost to get married at Windrift Hall?
One thing I like about Windrift Hall is that, unlike some wedding venues, they’re pretty transparent about their pricing. Here are some of the packages available if you want to get married here.
For the Big Event Package:
Capacity: 120 guests
Accommodations: 3 nights starting at $3,300
Site fee: $7,000
Prop fee (covers chairs and table settings): $50 per person
Total starting cost: $15,300 for 100 people
For the Small Event Package:
Capacity: 20 guests
Accommodations: 3 nights starting at $3,300
Site fee: $3,000
Total starting cost: $6,300 for 20 people
A few other considerations if you’re considering a Windrift Hall wedding:
An outdoor ceremony at Windrift Hall is ideal, but you should make a rain contingency plan just in case.
Access to some facilities is limited. You’ll need to provide portable bathrooms for your guests.
You’ll need to arrange a shuttle service to bring your guests to the venue.
Where is Windrift Hall located?
Windrift Hall is located in the Catskills in West Coxsackie, New York. It’s just a half hour south of Albany, but it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere. You get to feel like you’re in a world all your own on your wedding day.
A Relaxed Wedding for C and M
C and M held an intimate wedding. Their small guest count meant they could have a very relaxed and low-key experience and soak up all the golden moments. It was my favorite kind of celebration to photograph.
We were able to spend a lot of time exploring the stunning property before the ceremony. The lush nature filled the senses – vibrant greens, cool breezes, and bird calls. It’s easy to get swept up in the romance of the moment at Windrift Hall. C and M could hardly believe it when a pair of swans swam up to the lake’s bank during a portrait session.
After a ceremony beside the pond, C and M joined their guests for a beautiful dinner in the pavilion. Candles and a chandelier lit their joyful dinner at sunset. Everything was beautifully curated in a way that let C and M be really present with each other and their people.
Honest Wedding Photos with an Editorial Touch
The portraits from this Windrift Hall wedding have a mix of whimsy and an editorial approach. The venue itself feels like the setting of a period film, so romantic, cinematic moments feel natural here.
C and M’s gallery also preserves the meaningful moments that happen between events. Kisses in the hallway and family breakfast, laughter over a candlelit dinner and a quiet moment cuddling beside the lake. All of them give you a sense of the truth of C and M’s love.

Maybe you’re a little untraditional, a little witchy, a little wild. Maybe you don’t mind getting your dress a little dirty, running through a field, twirling in the rain, or feeling the earth beneath your feet as you say your vows.
Maybe you see beauty in contrast — light and shadow, color and mood, softness and grit. You don’t care about perfection; you care about how it feels.
That might mean walking down the aisle beneath towering pines, hiking to say your vows with Lake George stretching out below you, or stealing a quiet moment in a sun-drenched field, just the two of you. Maybe it’s a candlelit barn that’s seen a hundred years of stories before yours, its walls holding echoes of the past as you start something new.
Some places hold history. Some places hold energy. And some places feel like they were waiting just for you.
Some love stories glow. Others burn. Yours does both.
